Okay, so I’ve only just learning about this! Wattpad is partnering with HarlequinPub for the anual SYTYCW (So You Think You Can Write) contest, and the grand prize is a two-book publishing contract!!!! xD

There is a category that would be perfect for one of my stories, so I will be attempting to add a few more chapters. I will not say which one, but I am at 33k+ words in this story, so I just have to work up to 50k! That’s not going to be that hard . . . I think . . . BUT I HAVE TO DO THIS! I love HarlequinPub, I have read some of the books they published and I just love everything that is going on! Yes, massive freak-out happening right now, and I can barely contain it enough to type this post!

I am losing it! I have to enter this contest! I feel like I would lose my mind if I didn’t! . . . . Okay, I will tell you the story I want to enter. Prepare for cover extravaganza!

Technically this story is entered in the #Wattys2015, but I am thinking that if I get to a high level in the #SYTYCW contest, I will pull out of the Wattys. I feel it in my gut to enter this, and I don’t want to pass this up. Imagine this story in print or e-book format! I think I would like it in print, but e-book it cool too! *SIGH* Okay, I think I got it out of my system . . . ALMOST! I totally forgot to mention this!! If I were to win, I would ask to have the Rescued series published! I better get a move on with that! Starting with posting it in one book on Wattpad. Which I am going to go do right now. I am just going to have it in drafts and slowly make the reveal.
Okay, now I’m done. 🙂

Harper Art, Graphic Artist

Not to toot my own horn, but I am awesome when it comes to graphics.

Good morning! A lovely day, is it not?

I am currently working on my graphics portfolio, adding and tweaking some odds and ends. It looks so cool! I decided to add a linked page to this blog. I feel the need to show it off. Click the Harper Graphics page to visit my portfolio. It has the majority of my work, and some links to the websites/ graphics I have designed. What I am still trying to work out is a form of payment(s) for my services. I don’t know what to put, because I do not have the means to receive any sort of payment, other than credit and a watermark.

Check out the banner I just made for the site!

Well, that is all for now. I’ve got some more work to do. See you all later!

Haddie’s Haven Blog Is Awesome!

It’s Saturday! I know right? Lots of plans; books, movies, music, and writing. That is what I want to do today. I can only do half of these things, because I am temporarily sharing my laptop with one of my sisters. Anyways, I posted a current favorites post on my personal blog, and I thought I would do something similar over here. So here goes . . .

graI love this portraying of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations. Now, I only just saw this movie like . . . Maybe six months ago, for the first time, because it was the first I had heard about it. I actually read half the book before watching it, and then finished the book afterwards. I think Jeremy Irvine (the feels!) did a great job portraying Pip, and he made the story believable.

2013’s Romeo and Juliet completely won me over! I read the play AFTER seeing the movie, and I regret doing that. You see, I have come to the conclusion that you MUST read the book before seeing the movie. There are some movie adapt-ions that wish I had read the book first. Because there were some details that were so much better in the book. ANYWAYS! I love this version of Romeo and Juliet, and I watch it often.

51RJ-IkqwSL._UY250_The Cherry Hill Series, by RonEstrada!!! I fell in L-O-V-E with these books, and I have gone back to read them again several times. I have also begun to read the next book in the series, which is called Cassandra’s Crossing. Yes, the plot is as interesting as the title implies.

AngelnMe Though these books are written in a series, they can be read as a separate stand-alone. I follow Ron on all his social-media, and I think you should too! I lovingly recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormal/supernatural plots, with a dash of romance.

R.J. Larson - Infinite books

The Books of the Infinite by R.J. Larson! I have only read Prophet, which is the first book in the series, and I am trying to get print copies of the complete series so that I can keep going.

I have posted reviews for the books mentioned, which you can read here on this blog. Just look through the recent posts links, or in the Reviews category. Feel free to comment your current favorites. And leave recommendations for books that I may not have read yet. 🙂

Thank you so much for reading! Blessings to you all, and I will see you next time! Ciao!

8:00 pm . . . Not Much Accomplished

Well, it is now after 8:00, but who cares. I barely did anything today.

I mean, yes, I wrote nine letters for a short story.

Yes, I bought some new (much needed) flash drives.

Yes, I posted two new parts to All Of Me on Wattpad. Ergo, completing it to welcome the next story!

Yes, I pigged out on pepperoni pizza! xD

Yes, I started to read one of three (or is it four) books for my review blog. (Which are epic, but its all hush-hush right now.)

Yes, I did win a giveaway and am waiting for the email to link me to the E-book I won! XD (I was hoping for the paperback edition, but E-book is received much quicker.) OH! And a $25 Amazon Gift Card! ( I am working on my cart right now, so that as soon as I get the gift card, I can place the order! xD

Yes, I did make that book-jacket today.

Yes, I did listen to One Direction’s new single, Drag Me Down.

Okay, so I did get some stuff accomplished today. Along with a few awesome extras. Pretty awesome day.

Keep you eye open. Tomorrow is Saturday 😀

Book Jacket Idea! . . .Err, more like brain-fart.

RESCUED JACKETThis is an idea . . . well, more like another brain-fart, that I have been working on this morning (now that this week’s schedule has died down) and I really like how it came out. I am not going to give to much info in this post, so if you would like to see more, click on the Rescued Series link on the sidebar, and read the new post on the site. Thoughts? Opinions? Changes?

300 mph . . . Creative Brain-Farts

Well, my creative brain has been at it again, driving at 300 mph, and not giving me enough time to actually work on what it is coming up with. But this time it is paying off. Wanna know what I have been up to? – CLICK HERE – That link will lead you to a blog-ish website that is solely for the use of updating my readers on The Rescued Series.

FAIR WARNING: I give some spoilers and sneak peeks. So if you do not want those, don’t go to the site. Otherwise, check it out! I will be updating it often, according to how quickly I get the series going, and finished. You will love what you find. Be sure to leave me comments and tell me what you think. Because I would love some feedback. 🙂 Many thanks! Ciao!

Imagine . . . (Writing Inspiration #2)

Imagine you are having this conversation with a guy. He can be anyone (a guy best friend, a BF etc.). What would be going through your mind at that moment? How would you respond? Would you go?

I made this a couple years ago, with intentions of making it into a short story. Which I never got around to doing, because I felt that I needed to have actually experienced it in order to write about it. But in truth, if this were an actual book, I would totally buy/read it. I like books like that. I think that is what I was aiming for, because I write stories that I want to read. I don’t really look at the ratings/numbers. I just like to write, and I write to improve. Well, I hope you liked this little spark of inspo, I will see you next time!

The Rescued Series

Hello! I figured it would be a good idea to share some of my finish and upcoming works on Wattpad.com – The Rescued Series is a series of short stories, Christian fiction. It started with my story Saved (which you can read HERE), and all of my readers kept asking me for a sequel, or to make the story go on longer. I found it hard to make the story longer, and to make a sequel, because I just felt it would take away from morals in the story. Needless to say, I finally managed to write a prequel to the story, called Believe (can be read HERE). They are quite short, but it gives me reason to keep going, because I have been planning future plots all month long. I have the final part of Believe ready to be posted over the weekend, and then I am going to start posting the next story in the series. The next story will be called ‘All Of Me’ (yes, like the song). Below are all the covers that I have made before-hand. Have a look! The other covers are not official yet, but they are my motivation to write the stories. Well, I will be back. Have a good one!
